Excellent, thank you for the heads up! ...I have to swing my behind into gear to finish up the highlight image implementation. Soon to come...

Great program! Is the highlight image feature something like an environment reflection? Thanks for sharing.
Running on Win64 with a Quadro NVS 290 with no problems so far.

sweet, THANKS! Well, I'm still trying to think of a really clever way of supporting reflections altogether. I'm having some wild ideas, but I need to think about them first. The highlight image idea is a bit simplified to allow you to define the shape of your specular reflection as opposed to the silly dot. We'll see about all of this. Right now you can already do some crazy materials with it, though. Anyway... THANKS and I'll certainly post an update, if I have something!

I was just thinking how star shaped specs could be cool. Kinda like small blooms you see in photos. Do you plan on adding per light spec settings? then we could set up a car paint type material with sharp and soft spec highlights. Looking forward to the next update.
btw, the tilde key does not work for me either.

You can already do that! Just activate to have independent settings per light!
Star shapes won't help you much with such blooms, as they would simply appear as a distorted reflection. That would have to be a post effect and is fairly easy to accomplish. However, I'm planning to make transparency, which will allow you to pick the same background you'd have in sculptris then... should look very pretty, I think.

Hi taron I'm having trouble getting a similar effect as shown in your image, also I cant see any difference when trying to toggle (')sphere border. Is there a way of being able to type numbers in ,or we limited to dragging?

Currently still limited to dragging or using the mousewheel on the digits. I'm somewhat at a loss for why the sphere border/background toggle seems so mysteriously effectless, but well...ain't anything important anyway. The trick with the above effect is to turn down the camera Z and shift a light's z position towards 0 or even behind the sphere. ATTACHED you'll find a few settings to load. Attachments:

download-> Version 0.06b I've introduced mouse dragging to the interface. Go over the digit by which you want to adjust the number to decide for a dragging speed. Hopefully that's intuitive to you as it feels to me. Thanks for the feedback, jimb!

Thanks, but...uhm...I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Do you mean they can be so large that they creep into their labels? If so, that's just something I conveniently ignored, as I didn't see any reason to prohibit it for cosmetic reasons. There's no real benefit to any standart use to go that high, but somebody might have some astronomical reasons to do so, hihihi. Other than that, vertically it's physically impossible for them not to line up from what I can tell. That's why I'm just a little uncertain about what you mean, but don't hold back to explain it. I think you're clearly my most active beta tester, jimb, and I'm very, very happy about it!
