omg. The beginning already sounds like a brilliant, BRILLIANT manga tune! I can practically see it. Holy moly... this is getting better and better! That accordion sound or medival drone. Wow! That's a Phys, too? Just curious. The guitar sells the realism for sure. I don't mind the bit of sloppiness in it. The piano is very, very cool (EH..right up until the first Chord of it, though. A few seconds later it picks back up beautifully, though!). Dude. This thing is becoming amazing! ROCK ON!!! What a treat!

That's a Phys, too? Just curious. Hehe reminded me of bagpipes... and yes they are Phys with the mixer chorus. Maybe I can strech the beginning a bit...haha trying to make the total at least 6/7 minutes. Hehe, yeah I dont play guitar properly.. hehe... thats why I record it.. so I can get ideas and cut out the nicer parts. Glad you like it. My main concern is that i feel like i should maybe strech parts, too much transitions in a row? Or maybe that has its charm (like everything keeps moving) The piano part will need a lot of work...more samples....and right now it kinda jumps into a doodle of the finale i had planned for much later in the song.

Not sure where to place this. Using musagi, sfxr, sculptris, blender and gimp. The last few days I been teaching myself basic use of logic bricks in Blender. I always had the ambition to make a game. But scripting is too frustrating for me. After seening some games made in Blender I figured I could give Blender a try. With the help of online tutorials. I started doodling this tiny world. It's messy and the face count of some models is still insane. -So more of an experiment. Also the character doesnt move as I want yet. The sound isn't done, and so on and so on. But I wanted to share these 2 (laggy) capturtes: The cameras in these have a different lens settings. I think it will be nice to use that to support the narrative/overall feel. And one clip has a lil musagi loop. Mostly been using Sculptris to create textures and the few models. And its perfect for that. Musagi and sfxr for the sound in the clip... also just experiments. It's not just logic bricks that are new to me, hehe. I very much wonder what to avoid when making games in Blender. Any tips/feedback/ideas more then welcome!

I think that's a very impressive start! Certainly has an atmosphere already!

Don't let the appearance fool you tho, even with these logic bricks i am just banging my head to the screen. Hehe, scripting to me, its such a bottleneck... So, for the time to come, guess I'll just be hanging this doodle/study zone. It's fun(!) but yeah the coding solutions I come up with, they must be like making the road move because the car won't start. ;D

Yes, "atmosphere" is the word. Although at the start I did feel you're music was too synthy for the background. (Nice background BTW). When the abstract models came in everything made sense @_@ Never heard of making games with blender...

When the abstract models came in everything made sense @_@ Never heard of making games with blender... Ah yes, the music was just a loop for filling. Blender for games, well yes. These for example were made and run well inside blender: I didn't check out that last one yet... Might be a good idea.

ALERT! - DIGRESSION ALERT! - add annoying beeping here! Holy canoly, those are truely impressive! Especially the first one. The second one is a bit too "inspired" by little big world, or whatever the PS3 game was called. Still nice, though. And that Blender has such a game engine is quite amazing. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, hehe, guess when I get more work done i guess I'll make new more specific thread. (I secretly hoped some of you already worked with Blender game stuffz.)Making interactive soap bubbles now! BORO-TORO doesn't appeal to me that much, but it does demonstrate it will work for side scrollers and is portable to other game systems. Using Blender is much like using the old version of sculptris and your musagi-mod and sfxr: they just make me feel free in more then one way. For example I am being told Unity3D is where "it" is at now, for homegrown games. But the licensing and all the backdoors always make me feel like I am not owning what i am making. And I get so anal about that it leads to me not doing anything at all. On that level DrPetter and you boosted my joy and workflow. My paranoia is about big devolpers that want to own everything we do. Hehe, I guess i am just silly. But it's like "they" give away "free" sharp knifes... but what they don't tell you is that they will own everything you carve with it. But enough digression and ranting. Back to work.

Certainly could make an excellent General topic, though, and I'm not kidding or nudging. Well worth a discussion, closely related to all this content. I agree whole-heartedly and dislike the ugly direction it's all heading for. DrPetter and I are certainly quite some rebels, hahahaha.

[I'm on Linux now, so I only listened to the ogg-file, but] I bet that's the phys again. Made me wish I'd actually understood that thing. Oh, you copied the instruments... maybe I should start doing that too. ANYWay... Nice tune I'm not sure I like the offbeat rhythm, but that's probably ska(?).

Taron is quite the wizard with them. And yes the offbeat thing... I didn't plan anything about this tune... just made a loop and went from there. Thanks for the feedback. ^^

Fooled around with the instuments in tarons Running_Fool.smu song today. A weird doodle as result: dl.dropbox.com/u/23734386/spacewater01.smuMade in t1.68 Been months since I touched musagi, hehe. Btw taron, those suggestions in the other topic seem fine too me.. i'll add them to the opening post later.
