That's really interesting, it looks very clay-like with your style of modeling! Do you daub rather than brush it? Whatever you do, the result looks very very good.

thank you sir. I find that this software allows me to free form easily adding or removing by daubing until i get close to desired shape and then smoothing and refining with the brush...very much like clay.

180K triangles on this one, starting to get pretty stuttery on a 2GHz Centrino Duo, but just about workable. Reeeaaally starting to look forward to getting myself a new laptop now. Mmmmmm. I hope the Mac port is ready by then (we're talking mid-to-late 2010 here, so no rush). Looking forward to seeing more from you other folks, too. There's been some pretty neat stuff so far! hystrix: I like the old person, but have you tried using crease and pinch to make more defined edges and avoid general softness? In many cases, you can add just a few sharp features to give the impression that your whole model is more detailed. Same goes for painting/drawing. Also, remember that old people typically have huge noses!

no sculpting experience here. love the program, only a few buttons - what a relief. hystrix: great samples. i guess it would be wise to supply a portfolio link if you're actually looking for work.

I have no real sculpting experience and i am amazed by both this wonderfull sculpting program and the skill of the people showcasing their work in it. Here is an attempt at doing something : At some point, i exported to OBJ and imported it into Blender 2.49 to use the " Decimate " fonction in order to lower the facecount a lot, as it was going way too high at some point and i was fearing some crash with the lag introduced by this (as unfortunately the handy "remove detail" from Sculptris always lead into a crash few seconds after using it). After re-exporting in OBJ from Blender, it loaded very well in Sculptris again and i could resume work on it with Sculptris working very smoothly. I can't praise enough the wonderfull Sculptris interface that is so beginner friendly and easy/quick to use that sculpting with my mouse feels strangely natural.

Here is my latest work. An old Man I updated my graphics card drivers and now sculptures are better rendered and software seems to be faster. What do you guys think.

That's a really nice sculpture. Here is a simple monster very loosely inspired from some kind of beholder creature of the D&D from my youth. That automatic face addition this superb Sculptris can do in order to build the tentacles is very handy.
