nice to hear that there are plans for porting . Sculpting MAC users are trained to be patient by some company offering "the worlds most advanced sculpting software package" After the experiences I made with support and the release strategy this company gives its licensed MAC users and their customers in general, after being censored and tricked in their forum, I would love to see this jewel "Sculptris" on my MAC - side.
The sooner the better. I would love to sell this license some day and give the money to DrPetter. But I doubt that someone will buy it then
+1 linux user here.. I have experience in packaging for slackware distros. Compiling, packaging, bug filing.. thats about it ( worked as a packager at vector linux) . I can help with writing tutorials and organise web2 creative user groups to promote it (flickr,facebook,da...)
I also own a wacom graphire4 xl tablet, so I will be able to test it's pressure sensitivity..
I can help with promoting. At this point, I can only use it to sculpt. Retopology and textures is something I hope you consider for the future.. ;D
DrPetter, why not turn this into an open-source project? You will not have a hard time finding interested developers and and every platform could be developed in tandem since they'd share the same code base.
Really, it looks like the only thing to port in the user interface, but it looks like you've used OpenGL for that as well, so porting turns into more of a window and file manager issue.
Of course, this is assuming that you are not planning on making money off of this in the future...
