thx, michael. I pimped little render - changed lightning and added ramp shader - but it may be overdone. Some post in PS: I may pimp it more tommorow if it is still flat. C&C is welcome

hey, much nicer with the rim lighting! you should try bunging an armature on iyt and using "bone heat" weighting.... it can be surprisingly good and you can give hime a better superhero pose.
You might want to look at the skin texture... it's shading to black, it might be nice with warmer shadows!

michaelw, I have tried armature in blender on my girl project (second page I think) but there wer some nasty deformations going on. I gess if i retoped SuperMan it would work better, but that just to much work for me (I'm lazy). Any way I fixed few thing, and skin as you suggested. Here is final:

dog ROCK! ;D supy is pretty cool, too! I'm not so sure about the alien, while he has some neat details there's something off. I think the volume of the head could be larger. I'd inflate his brains by 1.5 or even twice as much, I believe. Other than that... a lot of excellence all over!

I think that's really great work so far but there are several things you might want to consider: -the eyes might be to close to each other but then again I don't know how they are on you reference... -the symmetry of the hair is destroying your work - if you remove it just around the center line it will look much cooler and much less like CG sculpt -remove the brush from the model when taking a screenshot Anyway, looking great, keep it up!
