I'm wondering how to create an entire texture set to import into the brushes panel. I have over 500 or so alphas, and would like to not have to add one at a time. I saw the "add texture set" button, but have no idea how I could turn all of my alphas into a set. Any solution?
My rig seems to handle it pretty well, and I'm mostly using them for bump map drawing. I notice that the alphas don't add tessellation detail as well as sculpting without an alpha. Am I doing something wrong there, or is it just the large alpha size messing me up? If it is, I'll just make my own smaller maps for geometry sculpting.
No, its recommended that you have the area your going to use masks on already heavily subdivided because the dynamic tesselation effects the area of the brush as opposed adding geometry based on the mask. I don't think anyone brought that up before but yea its not ideal.
What do you try to do using the masks in sculpt? a continous stroke - like a profile? or something like footprints?
To get an effect like single footprints, go to the options menue and increase brush spacing over 100% to get no overlaps.
getting a smooth continous stroke is a bit harder. Activate Airbrush and lazy mode (upper left) and set brushspacing to min. detail slider to min (on a highly subdivided area). This way you get the single prints as close as possible. Now you need a right brush mask. with fall-offs at the upper and lower edge. Like the attached ones- these were the best I could do...
