Its still beta in the sense that their will most likely be a few minor bugs, but most of the major ones should no longer be present. Feature wise...well, I'll leave it up to others to post videos and such.
But fyi, the beta testers are still throwing out suggestions left and right, so I don't think its the "FINAL" version by any means

When you're doing the texturing for the old elf and you're adding the wrinkle details - that's going in as all bump map or is it actually displacing the geometry? Could the alpha brushes you use for the wrinkles be used in the modeling stage to create actual geometry that would show up if the model were to be 3d printed? And can all the texturing be exported as normal, diffuse, and so forth maps?
a tool that completely steps out of the way of the user and only leaves the artist to his or her craft. It's like frickin' Star Trek.
haha, that's EXACTLY what I thought the first time I used this program! I felt like that little kid in episode "when the bough breaks" of star trek TNG. I created something almost only with my mind, was surprised about the outcome and could not believe I actually made this.
I LOVE sculptris!!

A term that in open source or in the industry generally that is utterly ambiguous and could mean it was...
Black Mesa'd- overly ambitious, constantly updating itself as it goes to meet the 'next gen' criteria, not sticking to original design, base formats, or engine, ever reinventing itself within the production pipeline makes a pipeline grow at twice the rate at which you can travel down it.
- or -
Duke Nuked - it's lost in the Void.
Blizzard'd - a painstaking undertaking between testers and programmers that takes 6 months to a year, maybe two, is underway, the software will be polished to perfection.
- or -
Rick-rolled - 'it's' released, when it's open it launches a spider program that opens your browser crawls the web opening 1000s of video share sites with videos that have rick+roll in their tag.
It'll be out any day now, any minute, or maybe within a month or two.
But seriously... He said a couple of days then a patch, maybe, in a months time, in the other thread, and from the looks of taron's video , my God, it's so... beautiful. It's simplicity of use a thing of genius. It looks close to the final polish stage in the pipeline, they're probably diligently working out the kinks, which are hard to judge occasionally you'll have some things pop-up near the end that need addressing. I am sure they'll do a great job. And thank you Dr. Peter, for all your work, even if you were to never release I'd still be indebted to you for how useful the alpha's been to me, so in any-case, thank-you.
I joined this forum to do 2 things: tell DrPetter how F***ING great this program is, and make a big report on the alpha. So, DrPetter- this program is probably going to be the best piece of free (or even cheap, if it comes to that) software of the year, and you are a genius.
