I have no solid plans yet, but have been thinking about a kind of donation-based system. Basically I'd like people to be able to pay what makes sense for them - a hobby user who will only play around a little bit might not want to spend more than $10, while a professional artist could possibly invest $100 and maybe get some personal support for added value.
It's not in my interest to deny anyone access to the application, but I do need money to keep doing what I do, and something like this seems like it could work out reasonably well. I will also have some form of free version that anyone can download and try.
Pay? You mean like- money?? Only kidding of course . Actually, I think after all the hard work Dr. Petter has put into this program & the overall usefulness of it (which it would be hard to overstate)- it's not only his right to ask for monetary compensation, I'm sure many would gladly pay it!
I heard this app back at the luxology forum and is making an impact. The fact that this app was done by a student? 3 months only? Insane. With the clean UI and neat icons, me and many others can see this app going somewhere. Keep it rolling Dr.
i'd donate in a heartbeat. i already use this in conjunction with zbrush all the time. fleshing out concepts here is much faster than zsphere or zsketch. fortunately, hd geometry is convenient enough that tessellation is totally fine
I would not like a commercial version; I don't appreciate the hastle with licenses when moving from computer to computer, or when reinstalling an OS. However, I would donate towards a free version. Linux please!
This app is blownig-up in a big way, I'd slap a 10 squid tag on there asap.
I'm not a big fan of sculpting at hi-ish resolutions - like how 3dcoat is set up, so I was tentative at first to pick this up, But your resolution tools are a fantastic edition and I just love how you can just hit "Q" to start all that tessilation madness. 2 hours after using it I'm chuffed at what I've produced with it. Fantasic stuff.
