Yup, it's a great idea, but I'd still allow smoothing, of course. It's a vital modeling tool to prevent one from going insane, hahaha. I've done the grab modeling for fun a while ago and you'd be amazed how far you can get with it, but since certain simple angles can't just be adjusted, pushing back some areas ever so gently with smooth makes the process truely enjoyable.
Logistically speaking, every tool has smooth as alternate option and should make it legid as a partner to the main feature even in the realm of principles. It's all about enjoyably exploring possibilities and training yourself. I would want to propose a challenge that would involve recording the process, not as proof, but as goody for yourself and everyone else. But I'd tie this to a speed challenge as it otherwise gets simply too unpleasant to handle the files.
We'll have plenty of fun with all these challenges, I think. ...great suggestion, wasa!
lol yes, and I myself infact use shift for smoothing it's more of exploring the limits and and discovery of what tool does the best job for what If you know the optimal tool for a given situation, then you'll spend less time thinking about how to tackle something new, and less time using something that might not be best also you may discover some cool effects you can achieve

They have already been mentioned, but I would give a second vote for monsters/creatures or movie monsters, aliens or anything of that nature.
A couple added suggestions:
Celebrity Head Challenge Literary Character Challenge Time period kind of challenge trying to reproduce a person in the clothing of the period. A challenge with metal (robots, concept cars, boats, watches, jewelry, etc.)
Oh or maybe sculpt a zombie version of your pet? hahahahaha
Oh god... no more zombies.... ;D
I think we should make Wikkidzombies it will be coolest thing ever, then we can make wikkid zombie family, with wikkid zombie pets, and wikkid zombie car, and wikkid zombie house, then we can make wikkid zombie neighbors, and then we can make a pie!
