thanks guys  thenewone, here you go, I guesss you are referring to modo, because I couldn't find the option in sculptris.  The painting was done using the standard material and I used a few alphas... Luke

the texturing on the head in flat mode itself looks marvelous but i think you have known that already  even in the paint mode in sculptris you can use materials and the flat texture mode is a regular material ;-)  (excuse me for this picture but i had to make it ;D)

I retopolized this guy in 3dc and gonna drop him into zbrush later.  I was thinking of joining the boss challenge ... but changed my mind...anyway I like the subject and came up with this dude this afternoon WIP (started again from the sphere - LOL)  The more I use sculptris, the more I realize what a fantastic application it actually is. L

3dc = 3D Coat www.3d-coat.com/excellent models. Are you planning on doing textures and bump in zBrush?

Nice work. Just saw you asked about a color picker back on the first page, fyi if you didn't already find out you can color pick from the models surface by C+lmb click on the area to sample from, doesn't grab from background images though.
