heh, you won't believe what just happened.
the early sculpt reminded me of something, but it was all blurred i couldn't pinpoint it. once i saw the painted version i had an image pop up in my mind. it resembled a style i had seen before. anyway, i go to my reference folder to dig up the image ... and i'm pretty sure it's you. i save most of my ref pics with the name of the author, and this one had LuckyOne in it
this would explain why your sculpt looked like a zbrush/mudbox sculpt.
quirkusmandible, yep that's me ;D, didn't know that I have this so recognizable style. It's an honour to find myself in your ref folder
When sculpting I don't try to mimic a software programm...seems I have this tendency to make these ugly dudes when I'm doodling away...
I like zbrush very much, it's a marvelous programm...
But I'm very impressed with sculptris, didn't have a single crash till now and saving is a breeze...Brushes are great...One thing I like to see is a colorpicker (from the surface) when painting. Sculptris is the perfect tool for designing/doodling/just having fun
