I've been adding features quite rapidly and not done very much in terms of thorough testing, so I'd expect some bugs here and there. If you run into something that is obviously broken, let me know here.
Oh, and remember to keep backup copies of important images in case of a crash or corrupt save. Also avoid overwriting a version of the program you're using to work on something. If you upgrade, put the new version in its own directory - it might not be able to load old files.
- Not all types of PNG images are supported, and definitely not ones with indexed color. Actually I just tried a greyscale one for fun, and it "almost" worked (there's some color fringing). I will probably fix that eventually. Gamma-correction for PNG is ignored, so some rare images might come out looking incorrect.
I just noticed that while using my Wacom tablet, if I switch to another window then go back to CherryBrush 0.25, the pressure sensitivity stops working. I'm running Windows XP SP3 with an older Radeon 9800 pro video card.
That's odd. Doesn't happen here, with similar equipment. Same behavior no matter if you click to change focus or use alt+tab? What if you switch and then go back without clicking outside cherrybrush at all?
I might attempt some kind of fix that reinitializes the tablet on focus entry.
I forgot to mention it, but the problem I've been reporting is with version 0.25. I just went back and tried Version 0.24, and it doesn't do it every time like 0.25, but every once in a while the brush does gets messed up when switching back and forth between windows.
That's strange. The only change between those versions that could possibly affect that is vsync (on in 0.24, off in 0.25). Not that it should, but other changes just deal with drawing as far as I can remember.
As a test, you could try forcing vsync to on in your graphics driver, and see if 0.25 behaves more like 0.24 again.

I don't know if it's topical, but I stumbled yesterday across CherryBrush(This week installed win7) and for my bad surprise discovered that application crashes at it's startup. So it was interesting to try it get working natively on win7, and it works, sh**y, but works The thing I did is I paste different(from my windows) opengl32.dll, in the directory of CherryBrush, it's impossible to see any menus and program works slowly as hell, but it does work(I tryed two versions of opengl32.dll: one from 1996 and one the latest I could find in the net, both of them worked).

And then I was going to sleep and got in my had so simple yet so effective thought, why does musagi and sculptris work and CherryBrush won't even thou they use the same interface, solution must be libraries and so I did I copied msvcr71.dll and zlib1.dll from the directory of sculptris to CherryBrush and this time for my pleasent surprise application started to work like a cherry

OK, that was strange I came back home next day started CherryBrush and it crashed again, so I tryed again both opengl32, they worked, so I recopied dll's from sculptris again, no result. Then I opened the CheryBrush config file and first thing I did was I changed window_maximized to 0 after that I started CherryBrush and it worked seamlessly again, so I removed msvcr71.dll, wich I took from sculptris and the application did it's job even thou, I guess conclusion is that there were no problem with libraries, but even thou that was strange experience
So what you have to do is:
Go to CherryBrush directory
open config file
change window_maximized 1 to window_maximized 0
That's all CherryBrush should work without the problems.
Hi have a problem cherrybrush is not working with my tablet the courser is in one place and the actual drawing is applied about a inch to the side of it. so when i draw the pressure is there the line is there but not under the cross-heirs as it should be. can i be helped? win xp sp3 tablet= monoprice works fine with Sculptris
