taron I'd have to agree with you. To start with, a bit of reference would go a long way when trying to make something look how you want. I think I was just having a bit of fun with the program and hoping for the best results...lol. Once the new release comes out I'll have to get a bit more serious with some sculpting. Can't wait to use those texturing tools as well.
edwardart I probably should do that. It's so hard to be this good looking that I need some way to dull my looks a bit. My luck and it would just add character and I'd be stuck back in the same boat I'm already in...lol. just joking

I was also reading through some of the past posts and saw DrPetter joking about doing a Freddy. Seems like it would be great practice at learning the textures in the new release though. So I tried to make a quick head to prepare for it.

Now it's time to work on hands and feet. Left them for last since I haven't done them in sculptris yet. I know, I'm afraid...lol. Once I'm done I'll post a pic from behind as well. It really isn't pretty. He needs some clothes.

Been busy all day so far and I didn't get a chance to work with the new release. Just got a chance to open it up and mess around a bit with the texturing. So far everything is running exceedingly smooth. Didn't do the greatest of paint jobs or texturing, but I think I'm getting a bit of a grasp on it. Hopefully I can get some time put a bit of effort into some of the new modeling tools as well as do something a bit better with the textures.
Edit: Oops. Just noticed that I had a really bad negative "hole" in the bump map just below the nose. Oh well.

Damn. I was only gone from the forum for a day and this place is crawling with a bunch more amazing sculpts. Now I'm a bit self conscious about adding another one of my sketches...lol. I'm going to need to start spending some time on mine to reach some of the quality I'm seeing here.
I was having some withdrawals after not getting any time on sculptris this weekend, so I started a head that looked a bit turtle like to me so I added a bit of a shell in there. I may get back to it eventually but after seeing some of the work on here I've got a few ideas I want to try out first.
taron Not a problem, I actually thought there would be a few more out there from others who could really do the head some justice.

Still working on another sculpt, but I needed some away time from it... ;D Here's a colored in sketch until I can figure out where that one is going.
edwardart I hadn't even noticed the similarity until you said that...lol. This one was supposed to be bipedal once I extend the body down a bit more. Though I think I'd rather remake one the the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or maybe try some redesigns of the other characters. Seen some good ones out there sometime before.
