I've only been toying with Sculptris for about a week now, and it is the first and ONLY 3d modeling program I've found that is easy enough with enough beginners and instructional material for someone with absolutely Zero modeling experience to play with. I am making slow progress, but progress nonetheless, but there is one problem that I just can't seem to figure out...
I'll start by saying that my interest in 3D modeling is something that spawned from my love of Paleontology. So the models I have been attempting are dinosaur-related. This said, my particular bump in the road of progress comes from drawing or inflating along lines of any length. I realize that there are probably better ways to do what I'm doing, but I digress. Every now and again, after having drawn or inflated on my model, I go to smooth things out and end up with these little...peaks. Spikes, or spines along the surface of what I'm modeling, and they will not smooth out. I've tried reduce, smooth, reverse draw and reverse inflate, and I just can't figure out how to get them to smooth.
Any ideas any of you may have are most welcome. If you need more information, then ask, and I'll answer what I can.
